Education of Tsuyamanishi JHSpolicy

Aims of our school

Our Educational Objectives are twofold:
lWe want to nurture students to become humane and compassionate. Moreover, we want to encourage our students to be diligent in their studies and to help each other succeed.

In the same like, we also have two Adminstrative Objectives:
lWe want to create a framework that connects the students, teachers, and greater community together as well as make a community that ensures that no one is left behind or alone.

There are four pillars upon which we execute our objectives:

Scholarly Advancement through Cooperative Learning and Morning Reading

Classes are designed as to give each student the opportunity to listen and learn together. Moreover, we allot time in the morning before classes so that students can broaden their imagination and perspectives through reading.
So that teachers have chances to develop their skills and grow as educators, we evaluate all teachers more than once a year internally. Moreover, we hold workshops more than three times a year where teachers from around Tsuyama City come and view a lesson, then provide constructive feedback and discuss teaching approaches and new techniques in groups.

Student Guidance Based on a Foundation of Human Rights

In order to create an atmosphere where all people respect the inherent dignity of a person and to break down the barriers that separate us, we believe we can enhance moral education through two main themes:
There are many new expectations and challenges students face as they transition through adolescence, so we believe it is important that we help them develop a mindset for how to act in society as young adults.
At the same time, it is equally important that school is an environment where everyone understands the necessity of considering the feelings and thoughts of others when they make decisions.
We also place a high emphasis on allowing students to create links between each other in groups, and thus create a space where they are free to express themselves among peers who respect and accept them.

Building Close Student-Teacher Relationships through Counseling

With regard to student counseling, we have chosen two areas of concern which we will focus improvement on:
Bullying in schools is a known issue, and it is vitally important to detect it early and take appropriate measures to ensure that all those involved receive appropriate guidance.
Often, one meeting or session to address a problem is not sufficient to ensure resolution, so it is necessary to systematically handle issues from start to finish, maintaining communication all the way through.
We also devote significant resources towards providing appropriate support for parents who have children who have troubles or otherwise do not integrate well into school. These include having a school counselor on hand that students and parents have free access to, classrooms for students who refuse or are otherwise reluctant to attend school, and special support classes for students who have trouble learning in normal classes.

Mobilization of School Systems

These goals and services would not be possible without the structure of an efficient school structure to organize and coordinate the spread of information, opportunities for consultation, and avenues for all parties to communicate through.
It is vital that each teacher feels engaged in all aspects of the school, and so teachers collaborate on plans for each grade as well as dividing duties appropriately.
